![]() ![]() ![]() The break did not do enough to slow the sled and we were off course for 2 seconds long enough to ram into a tree stump. We start again and luckily survive a very tight corner going directly down immediately after. My fiance forced the break and the guide came to take the loose dog. That dog picked a fight with a dog leashed up to our sled and almost caused us to go off track. These dogs can reach speeds of 35-45 mph on their own so down hill it can get really fast! We were excited to get going and noticed one dog was left off leash and was running close to our sled dogs. Dogs have been removed to slow down the sled going down. Hot chocolate and cookie were delicious, however I wish I paid more attention to all of the jokes I was hearing about people flying off of the sleds. We loved it! Then we have our little break before going down. Anyway, we get them all hooked up and take off. I am talking long pees, like I have been holding that too long kind of pee. The dogs that came out of the kennels immediately had to pee. All of the guests were asked to assist getting the dogs leashed up to the sleds. Each guide would be between the sleds giving guidance and everything will be awesome. #SPIRIT OF THE NORTH DOG SLED ADVENTURES DRIVERS#He also mentioned that 3 sleds would need drivers as they did not have enough guides for all of the sleds. One instructor started to give instructions while 70 dogs were barking/howling. There were 7 sleds and each sled held 10 dogs. As more people arrive, the dogs get overly excited and begin to express that very loudly. Dogs in kennels and outside but leashed up tightly to the trucks. Keep that in mind as I describe a situation I wish I had more distrust in when it was happening. You walk into a situation paying a GOOD amount of money and you place trust in a service provider. I will say there were moments of joy during our adventure, but I advise to look in another direction for your safety and you will likely only experience joy verses fear, pain and disappointment with it. ![]()
